I made six pies today... a personal record, I think! With homemade crust, even!

Mom Wise's Chocolate Chess Pie:
Melt together (I use pyrex in the microwave):
1 stick butter
2 blocks unsweetened chocolate (I use Bakers)
(Make sure the chocolate is completely melted)
In the mixer:
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbl white flour
Then add:
2 eggs
2 Tbls half and half milk
2 tsp vanilla
The above butter/choco mixture
If you like pecans (like I do!) then put a layer of pecans in the crust before pouring the mixture in.
30-40 minutes at 325 in a 9in pie plate. Don't overcook - once it sets up it is done.
Ignore the knife/toothpick trick - almost always comes out showing underdone.
